Weekly Recap of Carolina Football

The Wolfpack is back!

On Saturday, September 19, Wake Forest traveled across North Carolina to take on to NC State. The Demon Deacons are trying to comeback after a loss to the Clemson Tigers, but for NC State this is their debut game so both teams are coming with a chip on their shoulders.

Both teams were going at it back and forth. It was tied up at half time 21-21 but in the end NC State came out on top, 45-42, after running back Ricky Persons ran in a touchdown with five minutes left giving the Wolfpack the lead. The defense of the Wolfpack then locked down and closed the game.

NC State starts off the season 1-0 for the second year in a row! That’s good news for the Wolfpack. Next week they take on the Hokies of Virginia Tech

Over in Buies Creek, the Fighting Camels are taking on Coastal Carolina trying to get their first win of the season after losing the season opener. Campbell started off slow, going down 21-9 at the half. They couldn’t find their groove and ended up losing 43-21 to the chanticleers. This gave Coastal their second win of the season while Campbell have gone down 0-2.

That’s all for the Carolinas this week. Come back next week for more updates!
