Carolina Panthers underwhelm fans

Panthers starting quarterback Cam Newton is currently injured.

The Carolina Panthers have underwhelmed their fans with the start to their season.

The Panthers are currently sitting at 4th in the NFC South with a record of 1-2. This is compared to the New Orleans Saints, who are currently leading the division with a 2-1 record.

The Panthers narrowly lost to the Los Angeles Rams by three points in their first game of the season with a final score of 30-27.

In the following game, they lost by 6 points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a game with the final score of 20-14.

On the contrary, in their most recent game against the Arizona Cardinals the Panthers had an 18 point win. The final score of the Panthers’ first win of the season was 38-20.

There are still 13 games left, so it is too early to rule out the possibility of a turn-around this season because other teams in the NFC South like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons are also 1-2 thus far as well.

Possibly contributing to the most unusual start to the season, The Panthers’ starting quarterback Cam Newton, will be out indefinitely following a foot injury.

Newton was injured in the first game of the season against the Los Angeles Rams. He had a Lisfranc fracture, which is a displacement of a metatarsal bone. He has sat out the past two games against the Houston Texans andArizona Cardinals.

As the season goes on, the future of the Panthers is unknown, but the team should definitely not be written off this early.
