Weezer, Green Day, and Fall Out Boy announce 2020 ‘Hella Mega’ tour.

Three of punk rock’s biggest bands are set to tour together this summer. The ‘Hella Mega’ stadium tour will include Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy and run from June 13 to August 29 of 2020.

To promote the tour, all three bands are releasing new music. Green Day, which has been relatively quiet since their 2017 tour, is set to drop a new album, Father of All…, this February. The band released two singles, “Father Of All…” and “Fire, Ready, Aim” on October 11.

Van Weezer by Weezer is coming in May of 2020, and Fall Out Boy’s Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die- Volume 2 will be out in just weeks on November 15.

These three bands have become the core of the pop-punk scene since the late 80’ s. Green Day, which channelled teen angst between the 20th and 21st centuries, introduced its sound to the world in 1986. The band has gone on to produce 12 studio albums and sell over 85 million records worldwide. Weezer, a ska-punk sensation of the 90’s continues to produce records consistently, with their latest release being the Black Album that surfaced in March of 2019. The newest of the bands, Fall Out Boy, formed in 2001 and has been a staple of the pop-punk scene ever since.

As it includes three of America’s favorite punk bands, the ‘Hella Mega’ tour is projected to be very successful. The tour could keep both the bands and the punk scene relevant for the next decade.
